Demand the key driver for Harmony’s first land release

With AVID Property Group fielding more than 300 enquiries per month from people interested in purchasing at Palmview’s Harmony, it is clear the Australian home ownership tradition is still going strong.

The consistent enquiry rates come as Palmview’s largest masterplanned community releases its first land lots to the market, with 40 lots now available, ranging in size from 250m² – 500m².

AVID Property Group Queensland General Manager Bruce Harper said the strong response to the project resulted in the land lots being fast-tracked to meet demand.

“We knew the Sunshine Coast was in need of new land and home options, what we didn’t expect is the significant response we’ve had to date,” Mr Harper said.

“Since the release of Harmony’s house and land packages in November 2016, our builders have been incredibly busy with buyers wanting to be the first to purchase at Harmony, with flow on enquiries from those wanting to purchase land.

“No buyers’ housing needs are the same, and that’s why providing diversity in product is key at Harmony.

“Our land lots start from $209,350, and purchasers have the option of selecting one of Harmony’s experienced builders, or another builder of their choice.”

A recent research report highlighted the local market’s appetite for property, with 89.9 percent of homes purchased, and 79.9 percent of land purchased on the Sunshine Coast during 2014 – 2016, snapped up by locals.

“The Sunshine Coast has grown considerably over the years, with a number of major infrastructure projects underway that will contribute significantly to the economic health of the region,” Mr Harper said.

“New projects mean new jobs, and the appeal of living on the coast will become even stronger.”

Harmony has achieved a significant number of milestones since its official launch last year including: becoming the first ‘6 Leaf’ EnviroDevelopment masterplanned community to be certified in South East Queensland by the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA).

“With Harmony’s main road, Peter Crosby Way, now 50 percent complete, the new community is right on track for its official opening to the public later this year.”
